I like your initiative to make them look nice, but I'd bet you would get almost as good results just stripping the nasty clear finish with some paint remover. Most of the ugliness is just deteriorated clear coat! Good job gettin' after it, though, youngster! Cool that you are showing pride in your ride.

It would go a lot quicker if you first chemically strip the clear coat. No need to use polish to remove a protective coating before beginning to polish the aluminum. Most of your work was just to break through that layer. Also, why not pop off the plastic center cap and avoid scuffing it? It won't polish any more than the plasti-chrome, so why risk marking it? When done, if you don't recoat the wheels I guarantee you'll have to go back and do this again and again to keep them looking nice.

Had to stop watch after the author started polishing wheel with the polishing tool using the drill. This was really too much.

Should have had some music playing or something, why do you only have a 235 tire ? And not 255 ?
