This is a quick demo I did in one take to showcase the BJFE Model H at 12V. I was just doing some rhythm stuff (bridge pickup) in the beginning, going into some noodling and letting chords ring out to showcase how it takes the three pickup positions on my Tele and to showcase how it cleans up using the volume control. Granted, it can clean up a lot more when you're got a little less gain dialed in.
Also, an important note:
I was boosting the BJFE Model H slightly with my t.c. electronic Nova Drive by using the Overdrive side of the pedal. The OD side of the Nova Drive is TS-style circuit, so, this is how the Model H sounds boosted by a TS-style pedal. It doesn't sound much different without the Nova Drive BUT it does tighten it up a little. Keep in mind, though, without anything in front of it, it does clean up a bit better.
After the noodling I showcase the lead sounds, adding a modulated reverb patch I created in Ableton Live to get it the way I like it.
It's truly a great pedal with a lovely mid voicing, though I can't say my little demo really does do it justice .. ;)

I dig this sound for real. Very usable tone. Nice on the ears.

It is, isn't it?

Nice. I assume the Ableton Reverb is applied at 2:28. Awesome spacey sound. Can the WET FX reverb or maybe a setting on a Skreddy Echo get that kind of sound for live, non computer situations?
snouter 1 year ago
@snouter
Uh, I don't know. The reverb is obviously in stereo here and way more complex than the Skreddy Echo, for once. So, no, the Skreddy Echo won't do it. The WET, yes, the WET will get you closer but it's definitely not the same.

Nice! Gives me a pretty good idea of the general characteristics of this pedal!

@tatoi
Indeed! That was the idea. :) Nothing more.
