A kicking n grooving clip from the August Productions/ BBC series that looked at the myths and reality in martial arts showcasing various forms, secret skills, ancient knowledge, and hidden techniques from all over the East. Screened by the BBC across the UK and also on Discovery channels across Europe, Middle East and Africa and as Mind, Body & Kickin Moves on FSN, the Fox Sports Network, across the United States. The DVD of the original BBC series is available online.
In this clip Grandmaster Presas agreed to show his special training techniques and fighting methods. Shot on location in downtown Manila and on the old castle walls. Thank you Gm Presas.

  • filipino martial arts were forbidden in the period of spanish conquest so masters hid those martial arts in dance...(sorry for my bad english)...

  • Filipinos are good at martial since their heritage i mostly chinese and other asians and a little bit spanish, they are dark because they live somewhere you can tan easily

  • @ambergypsy9 No, this is different. It's a martial art incorporated into a dance. Very typical for Southeast Asia.

  • Interesting - Capoiera in Brazil has a similar history of 'dancing' moves being quietly developed into a martial art.
