@sega7 No it didn't. It emulates the general stlye of late 90's/early 00's American cartoons. To be honest, it always reminded me of Genndy Tartakovsky's stuff. But I don't really see anything referencing his stuff, or Lauren Fausr's stuff. Basically, I think it looks like Invader Zim but with bright colors
I bet you only know about Lauren Faust cause of MLP. You need to watch some other cartoons beside MLP or something you saw in your childhood. Should I suggest Aeon Flux, some Bakshi films?

@sega7 P&S didn't emulate PowerPuff Girls specifically, and Lauren Faust didn't create the specific style touted by the PPG.

@iOniV2 P&S emulated the western style of the Powerpuff Girls. Lauren Faust worked on the PPG and is currently working on My Little Pony. Checkmate.
