Avoiding Jet Lag on Flights - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats.

Travel Tips: Avoiding Jet Lag on Flights

Jet lag is no fun. But it is the reality when you travel. So when I travel, to a distance, what I do is I plan something on the first day that is so exciting that it's going to keep me going, on the timetable of the location. So, that's contrary to what some people do. They suggest that you ease into it slowly. I don't like to do that. I like to land and get going, and that gets me on the timetable of my destination. Now in order to do that, I try to relax on the plane. So, the neck pillow, the classic, blow it up, it's great, it works very well. But I also, if the plane is not absolutely full, I try to get the last row of seats in the middle, which no one wants, right? And as a result, I have often got three seats to lie down in full on, which is a great thing to have a full night's sleep, or almost, on a plane. So that's another thing that I suggest. Also, lots of water, no alcohol. And, if necessary, give yourself a 20 minute nap at your destination, just to perk you up and get you going for the rest of the day.
