Robot made of wood, Picaxex 18X micro controller, a LDR and a few servos.
This update version now has LED eyes ( that really do nothing but indicate robots direction ). There is also a LDR sensor added. This helps detect the levels of light. If the Light levels drop to low, the robot will back up. I use this to help detect when the robot has hit a wall, or as in the video a couch, and this is how the robot knows to back up, and try another direction.
I have also upgraded from the Picaexe test board, to my own circuit board. It's rather crude, but it works and is a fraction on the weight.

@jeromepogi656 I used a Picaxes micro controller, then i created a program and downloaded it to the controller. It helpto have some basic understanding of programming. This was the first time I did anything with hardware, but it was a fun learning experience, i tempted to build another one during the winter months..
