What a voice! What a band!
I was too young to go to gigs back then so my older brother used to give me bootlegs of them (amongst others) to listen to. He died young and this song makes me think of him. He was a huge inspiration.
Keep on Keepin on!
The Redskins still sound as fresh today as they did back then.
There was another version of this song, with vocal harmonies at the beginning, i dont know if anyone has posted that to youtube.

@sugarbeat9bz it's ideas and idols what we were once made of. what we grew up with and what became a part of us. and this made us being the heros we are now. if it isn't us, who else should it be? tnx for your comment, it made me reflect about what i actually became due to the education i was 'forced' to get.

this song had such an impact on me when i was still at school, became an ethos i lived by, take no heroes only inspiration, dont idolise an individual, you will eventually see your hero's feet of clay, but that shouldnt diminish what they stood for that u believe in, take it and run with it, .....be your own fckin hero!!! x
