I think this is just a great song for when you have a bad day.

I believe both artists have done better in the New Century!

Ringo has turned out a much better product than Sir Paul over the past 10 years. Ringo's Christmas album is the bestrock album is especially excellent. I love Paul. Dont get me wrong. Flaming Pie & Chaos are the only hieghts he has reached in a while. Chaos was only good because of the Nigel. The one song that Paul insisted on keeping on cd was "Promise to You Girl". A disaster. Ok, now let me have it!

Interestingly I think Paul has had as much, if not more, of a renaissance than Ringo. Ringo may have sunk lower, but Paul's sinking was less expected, and while Ringo's releases have been great, Paul's have been even greater!
For me, "Flowers In The Dirt" marks the start of the real comeback that hasn't ever let up; including MAF.
I've always been more into John & George, but the rhythm section has been doing itself proud, and consistent, now for decades. Who woulda thunk it, eh? Blessings!!

Beatlewise George is my faveourite ,and the other 3 are pretty much on level par. Paul is a talented musician no doubt about it and you are right, of all of them Paul was least expected to fall, i love most of his stuff and am looking fowards to the new Fireman album. Ringo has good songs but is frequently overlooked John was at his best with "J L & Plastic Ono Band" but George even at his low point [Gone Troppo] he still had a couple of good songs.

Yet another terrific "lost" Ringo track! Thanks!! It would've been nice on the very fine Ringo-Rama album. There really should be an extra tracks compilation of all these types of tracks from the Ringo renaissance era (Time Takes Time onwards, after the time of the 1st All-Starrs bands). He releases so many extra track, and live albums, you think that that project would seem like a natural...especially since The Roundheads (& the Hudson era) are officially over now. Blessings!!

i totally agree we need one, there are extra tracks which we very rarely hear, the occasinal exclusive b-side [namely the "Don't go where the road don't go" single]there should be a Ringo "Past Masters" sort of album
