  • Owls fascinate me. I learned a lot reading about them from various birds of prey sites. The largest owls, the great horned owls among them, have larger talons than bald eagles, about the size of those of the golden eagle, the largest eagle in North America, and often will take over bald eagles' nests, chasing them away. Its grip is 10 x stronger than a man's. Yet its body is bantam weight. These features combined make the owl a lightning quick and formidable opponent for both hawks and eagles.

  • @16nakoma 100% false. Do a little reading, Red tailed hawks are part of the prey base for Great Horned Owls. A Horned Owl is MUCH larger than a Red Tail Hawk.

  • @johntvette owls dont eat hawks if any thing a red tail could beat the crap out of a great horned owl

  • That's a defense tactic. Horned owls often prey on red tailed hawks.

  • It's just like that for us humans who attempt to sleep by day
