Harrison's Manual of Medicine on the Sprint Android Samsung Moment

The Samsung Moment was officially released today, so I wanted to give a quick glimpse on how it handles this medical reference ebook. It's still only running Android 1.5, but it has a faster processor over the HTC Hero, 800 MHz vs 528 Mhz.

The biggest difference I notice is in how fast it switches between portrait and landscape mode. And, typing is much faster and more reliable with the physical keyboard. With the virtual keyboard on the Hero, you had to switch screens to type a number. With the Moment's keyboard you can easily type numbers and letters. To use punctuation or symbols you do have to use a function key, but the backlight helps.

This is not the full version of Harrison's, so after I continue my evaluation I'll have to see how useful this abridged version is.

That's a really great resource there. You seem to find very useful apps. You should also check out Express News if you haven't already. Did you trade in your hero for the moment? Is the glitter of the Hero missed when using the moment? just wondering =)

I did trade in the Hero for the Moment, with some regrets. Both run Android 1.5, so I expect both to be old news in a year's time.

HTC's Sense UI did nothing for me, and I chose to go for the Moment because of the 800 vs 528 Mhz processor in the Hero. I also wanted the physical keyboard.

i've had my palm pre for about 4 months now. can i trade in my phone to get this? because from the videos i've seen on youtube, i've completely fallen in love with this phone, but i don't think that sprint is going to allow me to switch, although i've been having problems with my pre.
