Legendary cowboy folk singer and entertainer, Singin' Sam Agins, sings Gail Gardner's classic cowboy poem - "The Sierry Petes (or Tying the Knots in the Devil's Tail)".
Signin' Sam had pretty much already retired by this time (1986) from his literal "life on the road" but still performed ocasionally. This particular gig was in Page Springs Arizona which is about 1/2 way in between Cottonwood and Sedona, AZ. And, as he mentions about 50-75 miles away from Gail Gardner's home in Prescott, AZ.
Singin' Sam loved this song and performed it often as it was always a crowd favorite at all of Sam's stops durring his years of touring across the Rocky Mountain West. Sam even recorded this song and on his 2nd, sold out, album, "Singin Sam's Saddle Bag of Songs", back in the early 70's.
