@TheLonghorns2004 Ok, what gets cut in the budget? There is only a finite amount of money the state can spend, and if Higher Ed gets more, then something else gets cut.

@TheLonghorns2004 Wow, good to see you're using your time wisely, but I'm sure your billable hours to Dr. Powers are worth your while.
It's not hard to figure out what overhead was in 2005 and what it is now, using the University's own statistics. But don't worry, A&M's has gone up 21% in the same amount of time.

OK, students, this makes me laugh out loud. Great way to make your point! This is dedication (and the synchronization is amazingtoo :o) Seeing the video shoots inside the UT facilities reminds us how underutilized our college facilities are. Great job, students!!!

Well I see the University's paid PR firm is out commenting and sharing their usual talking points. I wonder if tuition dollars are going to them?
The University continues to raise tuition to match their increasing overhead costs (up 14% over the last 6 years, despite enrollment only increasing 4%), and they are pricing Texans out of Higher Education.

@TheLonghorns2004 Seriously? Tuition has been skyrocketing for decades - 392% since 1986! You can't sit there and blame the state for making necessary budgetary cuts when universities aren't looking to cut down their costs. It's called a spending problem.
