The Mayan say that the Elders will return at 12 baktun and 13 ahau.
Now people say 21st Dec 2012 is the end of the Mayan Calendar but in the 70's the Date was 24 Dec 2011. So Which is it? Furthermore we also see the 28th Oct 2011 and that is where you lose me..lol
Could someone please Enlighten me ?

@bridaks It's hard to reply in this short space. an excellent explanation is in Carl Calleman's book The Mayan Calendar, Appendix IV.
Apparently, someone named Jose Arguelles invented a "Mayan" calendar based on 13 months, 28 days ea in 1990 called the "Dreamspell" calendar. The 12/21/2012 date is based on that calendar.
Calleman's Mayan calendar - and also the Mayan elder's calendar ends on 10/28/2011. Don't know where the 70's date came from.
