@DaedalusZero it activates when the brakes are engaged, which makes it a brake light. it is called f1 styling because it is in the center where f1 car typically have their safety light.
@miatazoomzoom - I find it funny that you can't tell the difference. Your account name has the word Miata in it. You should realize that the EU-spec MX5s all have rear fog lights that don't replace a reverse light. It's on the bottom of the rear bumper and in the middle. Of course, you could just be a Miata fan and not really an enthusiast. That or you just believe whatever you see in front of you. A good number of cars have independent rear fogs and two reverse lights, actually. Just saying...
@miatazoomzoom - Furthermore, the EU-spec Mazda RX8 (like all other cars in Europe and other parts of the world) comes from the factory with a mandatory rear fog light and it's located in this very same position on the rear bumper. It's called "F1 style" because it's low on the bumper and in the center. From the factory, it is NOT connected to the brake light wiring, and thus is NOT a brake light. So, because some random person on YouTube calls it a brake light, that means it is one? Please...
@miatazoomzoom - You do realize that Formula1 cars do NOT have brake lights, right? The little light on the back is not connected to the brakes in any way whatsoever. It's only used during inclement weather (aka rain, fog, etc...) and during the night race in Singapore for safety. Again, just because it's red and on the rear of the car doesn't mean it's a brake light.
@DaedalusZero funny how its a rear fog when usually a rear fog is put inplace of a reverse light and it clearly says in the title F1 style brake light dedede O.O
@duhstorm562 - So, because it's on the back of the car and red in color, it's assumed to be a tail light? You can wire shit however you like, but it doesn't change it's original purpose. By that logic, I could go down to WalMart and buy some $20 fog lights, put red overlay on them, screw them into my rear bumper and call them tail lights. Also, just because I said 'stupid Honda kids' doesn't mean I was generalizing. I literally see videos on here from Honda people that confuse the two, dipshit.
@DaedalusZero it can be modified to run the same circuit as the brake light, therefore becoming a brake light. think about it, common sense really. and that is coming froma honda kid. please refrain from stereotyping, it is uncalled for and it just makes you look ignorant
Where did you buy that?

It's a rear fog/rain light, not a brake light.... I thought Honda kids were the only ones stupid enough to confuse the two.
