not sure who invented it, but edison didnt even hold the original North American patent. He bought the Canadian patent off of 2 Toronto students in the 1870's.

Only 6 volts? Thats more like 120 volts by the looks of it.

The electrode is from a six volt battery the actual voltage used is 12. It's hooked to a car battery for power.
