Hi Leah, Great tut! I am very interested in the light box you use as it is so large. My husband and myself both require a large light box...did you buy it or have it made? Any information you would be able to share? I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes, it's hard to find large, affordable light boxes, so I built this one. Basically you build a box, put in some plug in florescent lights, add some legs, and cover the surface with a layer of plexiglass. It's far less expensive, and not too difficult to put together so check out some more you tube videos on building a light box and I'm sure you'll find some good ideas.

I printed my pattern on a water soluble paper and baste to my project. Another method that works good is printing it to wax paper and iron it on,

Another idea I read about to make a light box using the extension table if you have one for your sewing machine. Thank you so much for making these great teaching videos!

Leah, a suggestion to add to the alternatives for the light box is that you can use a glass tabletop with a lamp under it to make a lightbox that won't cost you anything. Hope this helps some of your viewers. Thanks for all the information you share.
