Can someone please explain the "freebird" thing to me..??

@cheoo7Lo As far as i can tell, in a lot of their gigs some random guy would yell "Freebird!!!" (a song by Lynyrd Skynyrd) In the streamed San Diego gig from...2007? someone did the same thing -- and Jason said something like "If you can play Freebird, you can come up on stage" or something (I have this vid in a different comp, so i can't check what Jason said exactly, sry!). Does it make sense now? (feel free to say no, lol)

If anyone has a more correct explanation, i'm all for posting it! :)
