Felicia tells Jenna that Jenna is the daughter that Felicia and Luke always dreamed about. She came to them unexpectedly and has been nothing but a blessing to both of them. They love her with all of their hearts, and it's just that simple. But with Lorna, things are more complicated. Felicia can't label her feelings for Lorna; they aren't black-and-white. Lorna, on the other hand, was not the daughter Felicia and Luke dreamed about, but she is their flesh and blood. She is their child. And for Felicia, Lorna symbolizes the love that Felicia feels for Luke. Felicia can't break or ignore that connection. Jenna asks what that means for all of them. Felicia replies that she honestly doesn't know. She has tried so hard to look past the things Lorna has done and understand them. Jenna asks why Lorna has done so much to hurt their family. Felicia replies that she thinks it's because Lorna never really felt loved by the people that she thought were her parents. Lorna's grandmother tried to fill that void and couldn't, so Lorna left home, and when she did, she got Carl Hutchins, and Carl did to Lorna what Rick Madison did to Jenna, only worse and much, much younger. Felicia asks Jenna to try and think about all of the things that Jenna went through, and then Jenna will understand why Felicia can't walk away from Lorna, from her child.
During Lucas and Jenna's final conversation, Lucas asked Jenna to "take care of them." (See "Lucas Is Shot/Part 3" at annefan73's channel.) Jenna didn't know what he meant by that and asked Felicia. Felicia tells Jenna that she believes that Luke asking Jenna to "take care of them" is a sign that Luke is going to finally accept Lorna, and that he understands that he's not going to be there for Lorna, but he wants the three of them--Felicia, Jenna, and Lorna--to be together, to be a family and not fight anymore. Luke is trying so hard to make his peace, and, Felicia says, she's just praying that Lorna gets there in time to make hers. Jenna quietly says she's going to go see her father now and leaves Felicia alone in the chapel. After Jenna's departure, Felicia goes and stands in front of the cross on the wall and continues her praying. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
I could never stand her. She just always rang a false note with me. Although I know a lot of people loved her and Dean.
