The scars of the Khmer Rouge remain on the Cambodian landscape, enshrined as reminders of the brutal, genocidal regime in the mid-1970's. One human rights activist who lived through those days now works tirelessly to help ordinary Cambodians overcome the psychological scars of that time. Theary Seng escaped the Khmer Rouge as a child, became a lawyer in the U.S., but has now returned to her country to work for those who are marginalized in Cambodian society. Rory Byrne has Theary Seng's story for VOA's series, "Making a Difference."
