Bloomington IL Police Struggle to Cope With Pee Partiers Turning Downtown Into An Open Toilet

After alleged bar patron arsonist set fire to a downtown business, Bloomington IL Police finally step up to the plate at least for a weekend, and struggled with bar patron vandals trespassing and vandalizing downtown properties in the bar district. The shear volume of vandals seems to be more than the police are able to cope with. More party buses deliver more students, who are then overserved as they do not have to drive home, then some irresponsible ones go vandalize the downtown. Unfortunately years of lax enforcement have only encouraged this type of behavior, "so what if you get caught, its only a stupid ticket."
and it obviously does not deter the bad behavior and vandalism. And downtown property values have suffered beyond just the economic downturn.
