orchestral, production, and melodic masterpiece representing the cultural and intellectual apex of this civilization: the 1970s; note the grand Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, with Don Renaldo, concertmaster, conducted by the incomparable John Davis
It breaks my heart to listen to such a complex and precise production. There was a glimmer of two or three yeas in which many people felt that America was redefining itself; anyone in 1975 would have absoloutely assumed that the E.R.A. amendment would be eventually ratified. If the vibrant activists of that time period were to see what the USA of 2009 is, I would imagine that many of them would be in a state of sheer revulsion.
