This is one of my favourite tracks too - I'm surprised that this was never used in an episode nor was Morning Rider used in an episode I guess they thought that neither were suitable for any of the episodes. Lay It On The Line was the sort of music that David was listening to at the time, and I guess the writers couldn't think of an episode to use this song or Morning Rider . I've never heard David sing this in concert either in the seventies or now, it's a great song.
This song kicks ass,

@MattTheSaiyan, you're right! David Cassidy co-wrote it with producer Wes Farrell.

It's me, again. . .
. . .if memory serves, David Cassidy wrote this with record producer Wes Farrell. This might have been a last-minute addition to the Up To Date album.

Thank you for this video!!
One of the very few songs recorded but never made it to any of the episodes, and yet they released it on LP!
And one of my favorite tracks to boot, too!
Again, thank you!

I love this song, nice pics too. Wasn't this David Cassidy's debut as a a songwriter? Or am I thinking of another track?
