The Ah-Hadith said Muhammad appointed two people which Islam must follow after his decease. Abu-Bakr and Omar. Never did he mentioned Ali or Othman. But the two soon become the next Caliphs. That explains why the first two Caliphs is Abu Bakr and Omar
