This video was edited in 2005, when a bunch of videobloggers saw a revolution in media happening. It was pre-YouTube, pre-Hulu.

  • Wow, 2005 was pre-YouTube? I had to wikipedia it, but it's true.

Everything is changing fast now, I was thinking recently people who aren't "plugged in" to the Internet, Twitter, Facebook, etc....they're just going to get left behind.

Great video, thanks for the tweet Zadi!

  • Yeah, YouTube "officially" launched in February of 2005... but people didn't catch on until the Lazy Sunday video that December. :)

  • This brought back memories! One thing that I think is sad is that many academics talking about video blogging mostly seem to equate it with one form, the diary form, in which a person faces and talks to the camera. That always seemed to me just one form, and the excitement about video blogging was that it enabled many forms, as these videos suggest.

  • There were so many more than just these few doing this back in 2005. Some of us were active before this. A shame that these were the only selected privileged ones highlighted. There were some great memorable videos created back then that might have been included in this.

Regardless, fun times it was back then.

  • So much has changed in such little time! Its so fascinating how interwebs people would be deemed "nerds" and given a few years everyone is doing it. wot wot wot cant wait to see what the future holds for technology!

  • Great job on this!!

  • I miss Michael Verdi... he's the man.

  • Wow!

    That was 4 years ago?

    A lot has changed.
