On Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Bob's Mustang II took to the air for the first time. After almost 18 years of building. The turbocharged Mazda rotary 13B engine ran well and all temperatures stayed in the green. Bob is looking forward to many adventures in the air after the initial 40 hour test period is flown off.
Outstanding, Bob. I'm planning on putting a 13B turbo in a CH-640. What turbo and what kind of porting (if any) did you use on this engine? Are the rads up front or ducted to the back?

Looks more like a tail wheel Navion then a Mustang. Nice job

Looks good Bob. Congratulations on the build. She sure looks a lot longer on the cowl to cover up that 13B. How much longer is it. I have been contemplating the same engine for mine.
