"It would have been a temporary stop before you died." Holy crap - those words will chill the soul.

I know one of the nearby courthouses had a stash of supplies until about 10 years ago, when they threw it out at the county dump.

@WhollyGhost I'm sorry, I didn't mean to suggest I'd been to THIS location, however, I've been to other fallout shelters and obtained their supplies and one of the cans of survival biscuits I opened was absolutely putrid! But I've eaten the candies or "Carbohydrate Supplement" and those were quite good!

@hrdknox2000 You were in there?
While the guys says he'd eat the crackers today, I wouldn't. I opened one of those cans of "Survival Biscuits" and they smelled horrible. I WOULD, however, eat the Civid Defense candies he mentioned. I've eaten some and it's still good.

A atseroid could kill us because if you break with a nuke you poisen our air supply! Besides you will just make smaller more infected pieces!

Yes, I don't think there's any debate that an asteroid could indeed take us out. It probably would be a worse idea to nuke it and break it up into chunks... might be better off just hoping the one big chunk misses us! Also, there really are *not* missiles designed to take out asteroids. I think MemberOfTheMaggots has been watching too many movies!

Cool! It's neat because it makes you think about all the hidden stuff that's around you (or beneath you) all the time.
