First he plays it the way he originally wrote it when he was 16. Then he plays the Eric Clapton version... Amy Grant is sitting second from the left.

  • @brn2runn1 yep.....he sure is....

  • is he the guy who played bass with Bruce Springsteen back in 1992?

  • Who's here from the DSA preformance?

  • Sweet lord what a talent.

  • One of the most humble men in the music business... So talented, words cant explain how much talent this man has! Tommy is the man!

  • "Wake-up old heart of mine, state of the world before you; no we aint got much time, to do some of the things we must do . . . if we run a little bit short on faith, I still believe we can make it there, where we might change the world, who got a DREAM you can GIVE away, help put an end to the lies and hate . . ."A 16 yr old Sims wrote these words. He knew at 16 his talent/skill s/b use to Change the World. The Eric Clapton/Baby Face collaboration won Tommy a Grammy for Song of the Year.

  • Tommy Sims (producer, musician, songwriter & philanthropist) wrote "If I could Change The World" at the age of 16. Sims was a Michigan high school student, at the time. When he wrote "If I Could Change The World," Sims was writing about his desire to make a difference in the world. Who would have guessed that 14/15 years later, Tommy's "If I can Change the World" would earn him a Grammy with Eric Clampton/Baby Face. The Tommy Sim's story should be shared.
