New York City political leaders and environmentalists are fighting a plan to permit drilling for deeply buried natural gas deposits in the city's watershed. They say the drilling method, called horizontal hydraulic fracturing or hydrofracking, would ruin New York's famously pure drinking water, and contaminate pristine rural areas. Supporters of the drilling say that's not true. The debate is a flashpoint in a modern gas rush sweeping New York and Pennsylvania that could transform some formerly rural areas. VOA's Carolyn Weaver heard both sides of the argument at a public hearing in Manhattan.
You dumb bastard. What do you use to cook with? Where does all your shit come from? Natural resouces. Durh. Kill that mother fuckers $200K + a year salary down to jobless sense he is tryign to kill the jobs of those poor guys just trying to work and make an honest living for their families. Now what a corparation does is a different story. Its about money, its greed.

gas is not a clean resource at all. WTF IT causes visible pollution and this well known in the scientific community. This is ridiculous, Its time for an energy evolution and a step away from backward self interested ideals and outlooks. The only reason oil is sought so fervently is because it is scarce and something we can deplete. Our market is driven by scarcity and consumption. like oil and water, sustainability does not mix well in the profit driven system of our secretly savage society.
