i use 50 lb braid with a 15 lb floro bumper tip. The best of both worlds.

@BassinCalifornia if you have a wiffle spool you dont need a leader if thats what your talking about i use and would recommend spiderwire stealth braid 8 lb test it is the best braid out there bu look at spiderwire stealth powerpro braid and suffix 832 braid

im going to get braid for my baitcaster but what should i use as a leader or do i even need a leader at all HELP!!!

If you plan on using braided line, you are going to learn how to tie knots with it. Braided lines will come undone when tied using a basic knot.

No because it sinks, if you have to in a pinch it will work but will kill some action on your bait
