I co-hosted "From Behind Closed Doors, Into the Public Eye," a forum and webcast on the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), on February 19, 2008. This proposed "deep integration" with the United States on matters of important public policy such as environmental protection, security, energy, food and health standards, foreign affairs, military, and immigration, threatens to erode Canadian sovereignty, giving Canadians less and less ability to adopt independent and sustainable economic, social, cultural and environmental policies. Ultimately, implementation of the SPP could have a lethal effect on Canadian public programs such as universal healthcare and public education.
Where's the rest of this??
