Though I have made an example of Pune, are any of our other small cities different? What we need is a back to the basics approach 'first footpaths, then roads' only then will we get our urban planning right. This slide show provides proof of how pedestrians are driven dangerously to the roads by several not mention things not covered in the video - hawkers & toilet blocks.

  • Pune will look 20 years more advanced simply by adding 6 inch tall foot paths and lane markings.

  • Not impressed. change should come from within, how many people in Pune got run over or killed? This is how corruption works. I should not complain about our council.

  • Change must come from within. Obviously the city planners at the time, did not have the foresight to plan for cars. (Probably at that time cars were not around)How old is the city? Time for change!! And we complain about our city councillors.
