  • Mine weighs 24 lbs. It's pretty solid except for the folding pedals. Certainly better than a walmart or target bike. But then it better be for the price. I really wanted a folding bike. If you'd don't need a folder then you can do better for the money. I'm a bit under 6'3" and I had to put a longer seat post and raised bars on it in order to get a decent fit.

  • @PaintballGhost68 The bike shops get snobby about anything they don't stock, it is a common sales tactic. The Montague is a hard tail mountain bike. Preppers can get good deals on these by contacting the former publishers of savvysurvivor(dot)com

  • I'm 5'11'', is this bike for me?

  • You might have unusually long legs. I have owned a few of the paratrooper bikes and at 6ft 1" could hardly tell the difference between the 20" and 18" model as far as standover height goes. My current one is a 20" model and I don't even keep the stock seat adjusted up that high.

  • I went to my local bike shop and told them i'm planning on buying one of these bikes to ride some rough gnarly trail (trails that killed my Supercycle Hoolagan) They said that i was stupid and pretty much laughed at the idea of buying the bike.

    They don't sell Montague bikes.

What do you think of the bike? Should i just go with a "real" hard tail mountain bike?

  • Thanks so much for posting this video. I'm also over 6'2" and I was very close to ordering one of these, but now I'd rather not ; )

  • I just ordered one of these. Is it lightweight like some of those other pro bikes? I guess I'm asking how would you compare it to a mountain bike you would get from walmart or somewhere?
