Kris Aquino: Queen of All Media, Queen of Controversies?

From being the youngest child of Sen. Benigno Aquino and President Corazon Aquino, there is no doubt that Kris Aquino already made a name for herself as an actress, TV host, commercial endorser, and writer.

Aside from being an eloquent and good conversationalist, Kris is also known as being brutally frank --- a facet of her personality which involved her into a number of controversies.

The most recent of which is the infamous walkout of Ruffa Gutierrez in a showbiz-oriented program. Apparently, Ruffa was hurt with Kris alleged tactlessness. The incident prompted the ire of Ruffas mother, Annabelle Rama, who in turn, dragged the name of Kris brother, Presidential candidate Noynoy Aquino. For Him Magazine, otherwise known as FHM, recently marked its 10th year in the business. Considered as one of the countrys best-selling magazines, it made its mark by publishing provocative and teasing photos.

Each sizzling page also became a hot topic especially for critics who deem the medium as pornographic. But with talks pointing to FHM as immoral, did it really succeed in changing the views of an otherwise conservative society?

Mula sa pagiging bunsong anak nina Sen. Benigno Aquino at Presidente Corazon Aquino, walang dudang gumawa rin siya ng sarili niyang pangalan. Artista, TV host, commercial endorser at writer. Siya ang Queen of All Media... si Kris Aquino.

Maliban sa pagiging matatas at maboka kilala rin si Kris sa pagiging prangka --- na siya ring dahilan kung bakit nasasangkot siya sa samut saring mga kontrobersya. Nito nga lamang nakaraang linggo, nag-walkout diumano si Ruffa Gutierrez sa programa nila ni Kris Aquino dahil hindi niya nagustuhan ang mga binitiwan nitong salita. Dahilan para magalit ang ina ni Ruffa na si Annabelle Rama at nakaladkad pati ang kandidatura ni Sen. Nonoy Aquino para pagka-Presidente. Ang insidenteng ito, nadagdag lang sa iba pang mga kontrobersyang kinasangkutan ni Kris.

Ngayong Sabado ng gabi, aalamin mismo ni Jessica Soho ang mga saloobin ni Kris Aquino sa lahat ng mga isyung binabato sa kanya at maging sa nadadawit niyang pamilya.


Mga Taong Lumulutang?


Wala raw hangganan ang kapangyarihan ng ating isipan. Kaya maging ang mga bagay na tila imposible, kaya rin nitong gawin. Tulad na lamang halimbawa ng kakayahan ng ilang tao na mag-levitate o lumutang sa hangin sa pamamagitan lamang ng matinding konsentrasyon.

May ilang nakapagle-levitate habang nagsasagawa ng ritwal na pangrelihiyon. Ang iba naman, para raw sa ikabubuti ng kanilang kalusugan. Habang ang iba ginagamit ang kamangha-manghang kapangyarihang ito para kumita!

Isang Dekada ng FHM


Sampung taon na ang itinuturing na isa sa pinakamabentang magazine sa Pilipinas --- ang FHM o For Him Magazine. Tumatak ang babasahing ito sa pagkakaroon ng mga mapanukso at mapupusok na larawan ng mga babae.

Kaya naman takaw-kontrobersya ang nasabing magazine, may iba pa ngang imoral ang turing dito. Pero paano nga ba binago ng magazine na ito ang pananaw ng isang bansang maituturing na konserbatibo?
