They are lucky the railings were there, otherwise they would have all wound up in the water and then they really would have been screwed. That jetty is so low, and the waves were big that day, plus storm surge, plus high tide. Hate to say it but they were stupid for being on that jetty. Lesson learned.

The people knocked down on the jetty, were injured from being pushed against the railing and hitting the cement walkway....however....none of them were swept "off" the jetty into the sea. Thankfully the railing prevented that tragedy from happening.

There were NO warnings or evacuations here in Boynton Beach. And no one 'deserves' to die, just for looking at 'big waves'. The storm was no where near South Florida at any time.
