Police Brutality in Pittsburgh after the G20

In what was possibly the most surreal, horrific, and unimaginable thing I have ever witnessed in my life, 1200 Riot Police and Military Personal rabidly attacked a group of well under 300 American citizens, many of them just students that were unaware there was even a protest going on. They then expanded their perimeter and shut large areas of Oakland down. This is how my last experience at the G20 in Pittsburgh went down, out of control authorities mercilessly attacking an unarmed crowd with batons, tear gas, pepper spray, sound weapons, and rubber bullets. Around 10pm on Friday night, long after the vast majority of dignitaries and protesters had left, it became evident that the outrageous show of force by the Military and Police was not enough to stave off their thirst for blood.

Your idealism is impressive, and certainly has historical support (mainly in the words of Jefferson).

Nonetheless, I would prefer to live under a government that actually charges taxes (OH THE HORROR!) than a post revolutionary bloodbath.

Do you know how many people were killed in the American Revolution? The French Revolution?

I would much prefer to have (GASP) free health care (even with budget deficits!) and taxes than an all out revolution. The cause just isn't worth it.

that may be true to some extent but when they first deploy lawful force then it is the right of the people to rightfully and legally use lethal force to defend themselves.Further more the act of violating the constitution with the intent to deny a person their guaranteed rights is an act of treason.Which during a time of war as they claim we are in is punishable by summery execution.Now I do not condone this bu it is the law from before the civil war

I believe you, bad cops are terrible. (not all cops are "bad" either so I give them leeway if they are good cops/LEO) I have no sympathy for those bad cops who think they are above the law. so I can and will carry weapons whenever I need to. I will shoot or cut anyone who threatens my life ... I've been hurt before NO MORE!

I will not let a cop shoot me in the back without cause, if he does I will get up and take away his gun.
