it happened also in Sadat Assassination in Egypt , the one who shot Sadat said in the court that he missed and shot him in the shoulder. and it was true there was a shoulder hit. the killing shot came from behind and until today no one knows who killed Sadat in Egypt.

But even some of the people who invented and sold you the 'magic bullet - lone gunman' theory (the WC) doubted its findings later and as more information comes out (like the JEH memo which talks about a replacement patsy if LHO didnt follow instructions and be where he was supposed to be). Even LBJ himself denounced the WC findings, admitting it privately to Walter Kronkite (but warning him not to air it)

@ipolson Oh, I thought maybe Oswald stole a whole box of Fleshlights from the TSD and was running home with them when Tippet caught him so Oswald capped him. So you're saying maybe some other 2 guys stole the box of Fleshlights and shot Tippet when confronted about the stolen merchandise. So what was Oswald meeting with his CIA handler at the cinema for? As Hoover said, the WC was set up to try and PROVE LHO did it not to investigate the crime. He actually said 'We must convince the American public that it was a lone shooter ie LHO' . All the witnesses that saw 2 men with Tippet were ignored, and the timing is all wrong. It is said that Oswald went to the cinema to meet his CIA Handler.
