@modulomath Sounds and notes are still the center of the music but they become different, cause they are made by different means, and thus the space and structure you're speaking about is not between them, but it's part of them. This also was the revolution of rock'n roll, as musicians began using electric guitars instead of old fashioned instruments; however now, you cannot speak any more of a new sound. For instance, the Portishead, show an already well defined hybrid of sounds.
