Nokia 5230 GPS Test on a scooter.

On board my scooter, Don and I tested my Nokia 5230's GPS Capability. Don rode pillion with me, he is also the one who held the phone while taking a video of it and echoed everything the voice guidance said.

It took the phone a few minutes to get a satellite lock. It did not lose the signal all throughout the entire trip. The phone did perform well in guiding us where to go.

This phone is a real gem and won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Update: Feb-05-2011 : My 5230 was stolen. Sad day!

i hav downloaded maps and but it doesnt connect to gps.

@Nonthasha Thnx.Every thing is right now as i am using nokia n8 and its GPS is working very fine.

@SalmanBacha you don't need to hack your phone; if you have the 5230 you dont need the bluetooth at all, just uncheck the gps bluetooth, go to apps > location > positioning > postioning methods and uncheck the gps bluetooth and you're done

it will no longer ask for bluetooth connection
