man i loved the style of this game; the close juxtaposition of religious and occultist themes contrasting against the modern heavy metal tones just fucking rocked, as much as i liked the other games none of them quite kept that. cmon capcom get back to your roots!!! (this is not a hate message against DmC just a little nostalgia :D)

WOW...what was that?? Griffon in the Chappel??? Never saw this. 0_o Yeah.. First DMC is epic. Horror, action (grenade launcher NICE!!). What comes close is the 3rd DMC. But I have little problems with the opponents there. No tank like Phantom, no strategy thinking as by Nightmare. But the rest is brilliant. DMC and DMC3 are the only parts I would play again. (Even the moves of Vergil in part 3 are basically the same as of Nelo Angelo in part one!!)

none of the devil may cry's in heart and mind lived up to this one in my honest opinion.. the feel of this game used to send chills down my back.. when i was a young child i couldn't play it without getting scared of the bloody puppets.. where did this dark alluring feel go past this one? i sit down and play this and feel excited to remember the horror/ action/ adventure base that devil may cry used to represent.. that is no longer there..
