Putting a 2650 kv motor in isn't an upgrade as that motor has less power than the 2200kv cos it's a buggie motor not a truck motor.

Get the wheel adapters for the newer revo, 17mm i beleive, then buy the premounted summit tires and wheels. Boil the tires off, tape the inside of the wheel, and you have a solid go anywhere revo!
If you could find them seperate it might cost just a bit more, that way you tape the insides(gorilla tape). THE ARE AMAZING, the hook up so good and go anywhere since they are for a rock crawler!
This is my roommates after he put his on, was still learning the balance of the suge large tires!!!!
btw what gearing are you running at? Thanks!

3s batteries are too powerful for 2650, this engine holds maximum 15v.

Hey boy, the fabricant says that, but the speed control handles perfectly 25,2 volts, since it is the same for both versions of motor 2200kv & 2650kv, remember 2650kv gain more rpm`s, this motor that proved in our two e- revo's and after 3 months of use, almost diary (one charge), the engines are in mint condition, I understand that you do not invent so much as us, but we like to come to the maximum, and our premise is: nothing, never it is will be enough, regards and thanks for your comment ;)
