I think the reason this is so creepy is because of the massive full screen spider close-up, definitely fucks with us arachnophobes.

@bombkirby Some of them are okay, but I'm not into stories that don't make any sense, goofy dialogue and my television being used as a titty bar!

The original was like the short story.....When i met Cronenberg at the screening of his version he said he did not want to copy the original.I like both ....in there own way.

I couldnt let that happen even if he was better off dead. I wouldnt let him be killed by a spider. I would have killed the spider.I heard vincet price had to look straight ahead instead of at the fly cuz he kept laughing so much.

Very funny! I agree with those that have said older films with out cgi have more substance than many modern cgi remakes that are not a patch on the originals! Cgi is spoiling cinema!
