The Saxophone player is " Grover Washington Jr." and the guitar player is " Maynard Parker ". Hank Crawford was suppose to do the session but he was on the road and couldn't make it back on time. So Charlie's manager called " Grover ". check out the recording "killer Joe is on the recording also.And you can read and hear Grover. This is just to clear up the saxophone question. (Shalom )

The Sax players name was tommy labella. I know because I played the bass for charles during this time (1983-1986). My brother Slyvester Livingston(guitar) and myself Walter Livingston(Bass) played with them Live At The Apollo in 1983.
