Most of 'The Hour' cold openings remind me a bit of that great CBC series 'The Newsroom'. Except, in the case of the cold openings, the writing isn't remotely funny, and the actors aren't funny, and I never laugh. But other than that, they are very similar.

It was supposed to be funny, but they don't have any talented writers there, so it wasn't.
