Can anyone refer me to a tutorial for spinning trumpet bells out of .020" brass disks? It's not as easy as it looks! Also, I am looking for pre-formed bell mandrels. Thanks!

Well done- is it possible to turn stainless steel if it is thin enough?

Hello HybridWaterMan2, I am not sure, I work mostly in wood! I think if the metal is thin and malable it should work but seek some expert advice before you try it,
With best wishes, Stuart King

Hello my question is the point of contact, the handtool most be static or is a wheel
keep turning?
TheMatrisa 1 year ago
Dear TheMatrisa, The point of contact is like a solid ball, it does not rotate but a light oil is aplied to the metal to aid lubrication and to cut out friction; I hope this helps, Stuart King
