A demonstration on how to paint FX and lighting using mostly Color Dodge and Color Burn and lots of texture brushes on fluctuating opacity. I've been asked how I do many of these things so this is why I post this. I encourage people to practice their fundamentals in drawing and painting, so that they have a good eye to know when colors are working and when they aren't. All that you see in this image is primarily used in the final stages of my paintings or early on for concept sketches. Obviously this is FX overload, but I do it in all kinds a ways so to cover most of my bases. Enjoy, and thanks everyone who's a fan! LENSFLARE ALL DAY EVERY DAY!! :)

  • Sweet dude. Do you find better results with a color dodge brush vs a color doge layer?

  • @TIKOMIX Yea, I do because I like to have all my pixels there to be able to manipulate, not always though but for sure most of the time.
