Fennec foxes aren't meant to be 'owned'. I've read the tired rhetoric of your responses and defenders and find them to be purely ridiculous. Whether it's owning professionally or keeping as a pet, they're still nothing more than your own entertainment.

This animal came to our RESCUE organization from a neglectful home. I suppose it would have been kinder to put her down because of the idiocy of her previous owner? How about our rescued panthers? Leopards? How about the thousands of people I get to educate weekly about the pitfalls of exotic pet ownership presenting these animals? Ridiculous?

Fennecs all react in a very similar manner to that when excited. Check out some other fennecs on youtube and you'll see what I mean. She's an awesome little animal.

With all due respect, I've been taking care of animals professionally for about 13 years now and you are quite clearly not experienced in keeping various canid species. When you get home to your dog and it starts barking and wagging it's tail, do you think it's scared? When you offer it a treat and it yelps is it stressed? Fennec foxes are den animals and prefer to sleep in closed quarters at night, hence being in the crate at NIGHT. Before saying stupid things, research.
