great song from the `80`s. I thought it would`nt be one of my favorite era`s as far as music went being that I was a kid in the sixties and a teen in the seventies, but the 80`s did give us some fine and memorable music. ....So I matured, and learned to love it.

@SirReal1958 You're joking right? :) They're not related. Richard is not even this guy's surname. It's Webb, I think. Cliff Richard is a fake name.

What a big difference in the path these two guys took in their musical careers. Cliff Richard with his lightweight pop love songs and his brother Keith playing more memorable R&B/Rock guitar songs with The Rolling Stones. It looks like Keith made the better choice.

WHAT?? Being a christian means that you cant be gay???? I thought being a good christian meant you are a good, caring, empathetic, sympathetic, giving human being. Whether he is gay, straight, or practices bestiality...who cares???!!! Okay, well maybe the third is questionable. But isnt it his character that defines who he is and not his sexuality? Come on, people, get into the twenty first century--and btw....women can vote and blacks can own property!!

@poitrenaud Hate to tell you, Queen of Denial, but you can be both gay and Christian.

I have not heard this song since jr high.. was suprised..lol i knew every word still...and have hit the replay buttom several times:) thanks for posting!

He is a Solid Christian man. Yolande Donlan, who worked with him in 1959--when asked about Cliff, she is quoted as saying, "Believe me--he's all man--"
Now take that for whatever it's worth-
She was a knock-out American actress in her late 30's when she was beautiful and Cliff was about 19
The guy is not gay-
Now, let's get over this crap and respect him for the Singer and performer and gentleman that he is-

I've got fond memories of this song and others from around the same particular time it came out (i.e. 'Woman' by John Lennon, 'Do You Feel My Love' by Eddy Grant, 'I Love A Rainy Night' by Eddie Rabbitt, 'Every Woman In The World' by Air Supply, etc.) - they all remind me of the same thing - picking mushrooms in our paddocks when our family lived on the farm, way back when I was 5 years old during the summer/autumn of early '81, the first time I ever did so. Man, I miss those old days (sniffle).
