My buddy Dan Mackie AKA "Happy" of Happy Cars had this crazy fun flying boat. We were selling them also here in Florida the manufacture out of Italy. Sold 6 - I wanted to operate this as a beach concession but of course it would be illegal - why is everything fun I like doing illegal? Because it is classified as an ultralight - it is illegal to take passengers for hire. Yes, you also still have to register it as a boat. If you remove the wing it operates much like an airboat. It is actually pretty safe to fly so long as you use common sense. IF the engine stopped mid air you would simply glide down to a safe landing. Great for filming from the air as one can get lower and closer then a plane. This is the video we had on the website. If you have an extra 21,000 I can get you one from Italy - much better quality then the Sea Air imitation knock-off. This clip is kinda old & I used iMovie 2 to edit it. ( ya really old I guess) anyway - O found it in my video archives. Also in the video is Dan's wife Gail & his nephews.
