My son asked me if i could put a motor on a bike, So I looked on You Tube and Ebay. Well,... when you can buy a kit to do it, then.....YA, I Can. So i did.
It's 2 HP, 49CC, 2 stroke and go's about 30 MPH. No gears to shift and you can still ride it as a regular bike. OK, it isnt Easy to ride as a regular bike with the drag of the motor, but you can. They say it wil get like 140 MPG but i get a little less then that. Its a blast to ride but its a Project. Bicycles aren't really made to go 30 MPH all the time and I use the coaster brakes (Peddle Brakes) that the bike came with. so along with riding it alot i ened up Working on it, ALOT.
I have it registarted as a Moped and drive it All Over. the only real restiction is you cant take it on the Highway.
The next step (Next Summer) is to put a 12volt electrical system on it and possibly an 12volt electric clutch so there is NO drag from the motor unless it is engaged.
You could hook it to a three wheeler I suppose, you'd have to set it up like a go cart. The drive sproket would have to be the same size as the one the kit comes with

It's a 2 stroke so you have to mix the oil in the gas. You break it in with about 8 oz per gal and then 4-5 oz of oil per gal of gas after that..
