Alain Lefevre is a boxer paid by a Marseille mobster to take a dive. When he wins the fight he attempts to flee to America with the mobster's girlfriend Katrina. This plan fails and he seeks escape by joining the foreign legion. As part of the legion he tangles with abusive lieutenant Steinkampf and bonds with legionnaires Luther, Mackintosh and Rosetti. The mobster discover his whereabouts and enrolls two hitmen to finish him off. With their fort under siege and enemies within, Lefevre finds that second chances are difficult to come by in the Legion.

  • I'm not proficient, but Isn't the date [1989] a little bit off?

Anyway, I know it sounds crazy but when the guy said "Lika an olive" I suddenly got such huge appetite for olives! xD

  • @megatroll My friend, thank you for bringing my attention! It is '98 now.

  • @pat1981lux This is 1920 or so, I guess over time it evolved and became more intense, but hell this is a bloody movie! I'd listen too you over it!

  • @pat1981lux because this movie shows the "old" legion, the new one is like special forces

  • @seelangay Yea, so it would of been even harder back then considering they let in murders and cut-throats during that time. now they dont. the legion has become a little too civilized in my opinion. yet they are still one of the elite'es fighting groups in the world Viva la Legion!!

  • i like this movie, van damme is the best actor for action-martial arts films

  • This is definitely JCVD's best movie. It was surprisingly good.

  • @pat1981lux Theres a time difference you know, the movie was based on Legionnaire traing back in the '20s

  • great great mouvie absolutly amazing!!!!!

  • MY NUMBER 1 MOVIE

  • Good movie :)
